The apartment was clean and only 20min walking from the fairground.
The landlord is a nice person however she did not speak english at all.

Enjoyed having a washer on site
This place has some amount of charm but lacks some practicalities. The property manager hovered over This place has some amount of charm but lacks some practicalities. The property manager hovered over me each morning to start the stay, reminding me of the rules and constantly setting expectations. She woke me each morning at 9 am the first few days. One day she was in the apartment for 90 minutes while I was preparing for the day, including showering and getting dressed. Very uncomfortable situation. I messaged the property, which responded to my ask that housekeeping not occur until after 11am. The situation was much more comfortable afterward. The property seems to carry a lot of sentimental value and there are a large number of personal items throughout. For example, oe morning I was shown the stove top and it seemed as though I was being accused of scratching the stove top, although I am a very careful person and ate at restaurants all days but one. Every nook and cabinet is filled with owner possessions, so it is difficult to settle for a multiple day stay. Most cabinets are full and the hall closets are locked. The only place to hang clothes is on the back of a door. Only two smalls shelves are available, so it is difficult to personalize the space. The walls are thin and the children next door can be annoying. Unfortunately, they are sometimes awake until late, so I put in earplugs. Otherwise the property is mostly peaceful. The washer proved very useful, although no dryer so clothes must dry outdoors, which is difficult when cold or when rain is forecast. The main room is large, which is nice. Heat was unavailable for two days, although this was a building-wide outage. But not a healthy situation, as temperatures dropped to a very low level. I called the emergency number twice, but no answer. So I messaged the property management company. Farid stopped by and confirmed the settings on all the heaters were at maximum, but none are producing heat. With a phone call he learned that the building was experiencing an outage.

The mother of the owner is friendly and will help as much as possible but can not speak english.

They don"t speak english. The owner of the house has never shown up and always sent his mother. Sent few messeges, never replied.
